The 2024 Morey Swanger Award goes to the very deserving Mick Doyle. An award 20+ years in the making. Very fitting to go along with the induction of the OWA Omaha Wrestling Association this year. It was Mick that opened his gym to Morey Swanger in the first days of its' existence. It was Mick that allowed the OWA to be part of the kickboxing shows when we didn't have a ring of our own. The genesis of this chapter of local wrestling began with the OWA and Night of Champions. That doesn't happen without Mick. When many looked down their noses at wrestling, Mick Doyle opened his doors and welcomed us in. - Donnie Dodge
